At-home Prevention

Prevention is just as important as the oral assessment and treatment portions of the ORAL ATP™ visit. Unless the pet owner is able and willing, and the patient is accepting of home care, periodontal disease will continue to progress, affecting additional teeth.

Tooth brushing with a bristled toothbrush twice daily is the most effective way to control plaque. Unfortunately, it is rarely practiced. Fortunately, there are other forms of plaque control.
